WISDOM IN A PINCH
Welcome to my Blog – Wisdom In a Pinch. What is this blog all about? It’s a place that you can come to for practical wisdom in the midst of your busy life. You can download the secrets to a magnificent life from the most influential and wise gurus, mentors, leaders, teachers and thought-leaders from all the ages in minutes versus hours. How you ask? Simple, I do all the leg work for you and you just meet me here every week to “download” the new nuggets I’ve learned.
I get it, we’re all busy. Too busy to add anything else on our plate. I used to think this way too. But, here’s what I’ve come to appreciate over the years of remaining committed to my personal development and making room in my life for it. I can’t afford to NOT to keep investing in myself. In fact, the truth was that my level of “busy-ness” and “running around” was the very reason why I needed to stop, step back, and look at what all the commotion was about. Where was I headed? What was I trying to create in my life? Did I even know? When I am 80 years old and looking back at my life, is all the “doing” going to amount to something meaningful to me, to the people around me? I figured, I didn’t want to wait until then to figure it out–on the likely chance that I might be filled with all sorts of regret. So, I committed to getting to know me better, constantly growing, and living fully right now! To keep on top of my game, I read…A LOT! And I’ve learned… A LOT! As a result, I love my life and the direction I am heading…A LOT!
As part of my journey, I created this blog – “Wisdom In a Pinch” as a home for what I am learning and my reflections. I figured, if I am investing all this time to learn this stuff, then why not share it with others who may not have the time to read as avidly as I do–but want to invest in getting to know themselves better, and ultimately realize and live up to their potential.
Here’s my simple commitment to Myself and You :
1) I read one new personal or professional development book a week. Subjects range from leadership, to parenting, to career, to awareness, to spirituality, to finance, to physical health.
2) Every week I write about what I have learned, or the big lessons I gleaned from the book of the week in two separate posts. One post is released on Monday and, the other on Thursday.
3) You can join me on my Facebook page where I am building a community of like-minded people to share, and learn from each others’ experiences.
That’s pretty much it. You get to learn from some of the greatest minds and teachers that this world has produced in a few minutes every week. And I have people who will keep me accountable and on my toes to keep being my best! Let’s get our wisdom on together, right now…
